Cali Cash!

Cali Cash is the forum currency here. It is what you will earn every time you post, start a new thread, view a thread, vote in a poll, leave profile comments, etc. Basically you earn it for being an active member here on CS101. The more active you are, the more you are going to earn.

We also have contests all the time to give you guys a chance to earn more. Posting contests on the forum, on youtube videos, and more. You can also get it donated to you, or donate to others. You also have a checking account and a savings account. If you put Cali Cash in your saving account then it will gain interest. So it will "pay to save." If you are a VIP Member you can even take loans from the bank, but of course you will be expected to pay it back. And yes every one does have a credit score. It is just not viewable to the public. It is for me to know who I should and should not give loans out to.

So what can all of this cash be used for, you ask? Well many very fun things on the forum of course. You can use it play games in the Arcade, gamble in the Casino, and even bet on sporting events in vBookie. We will later on have many more uses for this in the future. For example we are working on getting a ecommerce store in here. Where every one will have there own shop. You will be able to upload pics, vids, files, etc. Any thing you can think of, and then sell them for Cali Cash. So you could make sigs, avatars, programs or what ever and make a good bit of money through it.

You can use Cali cash to play games in the arcade either by buying an arcade pass that's good for a week, or by paying the pay per play price. You can also use it to bet on sports games in the vbookie section, or gamble in the casino (careful though, some of our once wealthy members are in virtual financial shambles after trips to the casino.) In your user cp you can also transfer Cali cash from your default chequing account into a savings account where it will gain intrest. We did have a store where you could buy small logo's that would appear under your avatar so you cold show what brands/companies you supprt, game developers, retail stores etc. but then we suffered a most unfortunate datbase error and lost about a weeks worth of everything. I don't know if or when the store will open again. But save that cash, the site is still growing and there will surely be more uses for it in the future.
